Making decisions about funeral arrangements at the time of death can be overwhelming and emotionally stressful for families. At Wesche Funeral Home, we pride ourselves in helping people deal with difficult decisions in anticipation of the loss of a loved one.
Advance planning allows individuals to document his or her arrangement requests, as well as avoid unforeseen costs. Making these decisions beforehand allows people to know that their death will not result in financial and emotional turmoil for the loved ones left behind. It also allows family members to make choices in advance for their ill or elderly relatives.
A plan is created jointly by the individual and funeral home, which maps out the details of the arrangements and costs. The funeral can be arranged and paid for in advance, arranged and partially pre-paid or arranged with no payment.
At Wesche Funeral Home, we cannot guarantee that if you pre-pay for the funeral now, you will not be charged an increase at the time of death. However, traditionally, the interest that accrues on fully-funded arrangements covers any funeral home increases.
Some answers to commonly-asked questions about pre-paid funerals:

What happens to the deposit?
All pre-arrangement funds are deposited into an F.D.I.C. insured account, created by the funeral home with a financial institution approved by the New York State, Bureau of Funeral Directing.

What if I change my mind and want my money back?
You may cancel the pre-arrangement contract at any time. A full refund, including all interest accrued will be returned to you. Wesche Funeral Home NEVER retains any funds prior to services provided.

What if I decided I want to use another funeral home?
You can cancel your contract at any time. All the funds, including interest, will be forwarded to the funeral home of your choice.

What happens if I die before the contract is paid in full?
The unpaid balance will be payable at the time of the funeral.
