The first step after a death is to have it pronounced by an appropriate official- attending physician, approved hospice nurse or medical examiner. If your loved one dies in a hospital, nursing home or hospice facility, this will be done on site. If he/she dies at home or unattended and is not enrolled in a hospice program, you must call the police.
It is important to locate the deceased's letter of instructions or funeral pre-arrangements if possible.
At Wesche Funeral Home, we are available 24 hrs a day/ 7 days a week. Whether your loved one has a pre-arranged funeral service with us or not, you can call on us. We will take your loved one into our care immediately or soon thereafter if family members or friends need a period of time to say goodbye.
Our staff will be on hand to meet with you to discuss the type of arrangements that fit your requirements and budget.
